• 15,000–16,000 tonnes of potato seed

To sustain their large-scale operation and meet growing demand, they required purpose-built facilities, including a potato processing facility, a cane storage shed, and a cool storage shed with a dedicated carrot wash line. Decrolux Lighting, an Australian lighting supplier, needed a new facility to support their growth. The company required a spacious office, warehouse and workshop to accommodate a growing team and expanding operations. They were also wanting a large mezzanine to provide additional storage and workspace. The project called for a double-storey office with lift access and tailored storage solution. In addition, the facility needed to be built with high-quality, durable materials and feature modern aesthetics to showcase their lighting products. The challenge was to deliver this purpose-built space efficiently and with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Allowing them to move in before their old facilities were sold.

Chris Grace and Jared Grace of Decrolux Lighting found the project process seamless, praising the effort as “an exceptional achievement, completed quickly and efficiently.” The large mezzanine was integrated to maximise vertical space, offering extra storage and work areas to meet the growing demands of the business. The double-story office was designed with a modern, open layout, incorporating industrial elements like exposed beams, natural light, and a lift for accessibility. The entire project was delivered on time and within budget, ensuring Decrolux could begin operations in their new facility with minimal delay. The construction quality was exceptional, combining strength, durability, and a sleek, modern aesthetic.

De Bruyn’s Transport services the mining logistics, aquaculture, heavy general freight and bulk goods sectors. A family-owned company founded in 1965, it has grown to become one of the largest logistics providers in Tasmania, operating 150 heavy vehicles and 300 trailers. The company needed new state-of-the-art facilities to support its expanding operations, including:

• A spacious and versatile workshop to handle heavy machinery.
• A 5-tonne crane to assist with lifting equipment that couldn’t be moved manually.
• A tailored wash bay, fuel station and warehouses for cool and dry storage.
• An ice making facility.
• A durable, high-quality construction.

On November 1st, we marked the official grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by the Honourable Jeremy Rockliff, Premier of Tasmania. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this special occasion and to all our partners who helped bring this vision to life.

The 2,000m² warehouse, centrally located, provides a spacious and efficient storage and distribution hub designed to meet our long-term needs. Adjacent to the warehouse, our new office space fosters a collaborative, productive environment for our team, ensuring we can continue delivering excellent service to our valued clients, no matter where they are located.

The challenge was to design and build a space that allowed for seamless operations while providing durability, flexibility, and ease of use for their growing team. When shaping his vision – and transforming an old service station site into a warehouse
for his client, The Laminex Group – Gerard said Bison was the clear choice to meet several
key needs and deliver more than expected. This included smart ways to save time
(especially by building the roof on the ground, rather than at height), superior strength
and durability, all-weather loading and unloading, clever capacity-adding ideas, and a
highly efficient construction process. Structural integrity was especially important for the
roof, with its 45-metre span and the demands of holding 100 kw of solar panels.

The process was a dream for Gerard, who was “very impressed with the professional
approach and how easy it was to talk to them … everyone knew what they were doing
(and) just worked together like one big family”. He said the clear spans achieved are
“amazing when you look at the engineering of it”. For him, there are many standout
features.

• An extensive awning area that is the “envy” of truck drivers, allowing B-Doubles
  and semis to load and unload undercover, safe from sun and rain.
• A mezzanine floor that adds significant pallet racking storage.
• Doors hung higher than openings for bird-proofing.
• Concrete tilt-up panels for protection against bumps, scrapes and vermin.
• A cost-effective build: “Because they do it all the time and are set up so
